WHO SHE IS

celebrant | teacher
artist & art

There are people who choose their work. And there are people whose work chooses them ~ who find themselves, again and again, pulled toward the threshold, the circle, the body on the table, the ceremony in the garden, the classroom of people who came in closed & leave cracked open. Diane is the second kind.

She is an ordained non-denominational minister & a licensed massage therapist of 20+ years, a somatic practitioner, a circle holder, a ceremony maker, a space keeper… a teacher who has been called into teaching… in every field she has ever worked in. She is both artist and art. She does not perform her work. She becomes it.

Her presence is earth… grounded deep enough to hold what others cannot, rooted enough to bend without breaking, patient enough to wait for what wants to grow.

THE ORIGIN

Something chose her
before she chose it.

She has been playing with colors, painting walls, and creating sanctuary since she was a young child. At 6, she got the chicken pox and her first needlepoint project in the same week. At 11, she helped clear trees, stain woodwork, and cut floor tiles when her family built their first house. At 17, she was finally allowed to paint her room any color she wanted… and made every wall a different one. At 23, she grew and dried her first herbs.

She moved about ten times before she was 18, and many more times since… running from & to herself. Always connecting more deeply with plants and animals than inside any church, though she carries pieces of every tradition she's passed through… including the Catholicism she's still unpacking.

She has been called into teaching in every field she has ever worked in. She created training programs in hospitality, horticulture, and massage. She has spoken to groups of one and groups of hundreds. She spent over a decade teaching massage therapy ~ ethics, technique, anatomy, marketing ~ and has led workshops, seminars, and retreats for as long as she can remember.

The pandemic brought her home… to family roots in Clermont County, Ohio, where she has been expanding the gardens every year since. She has no plans to leave. She has finally, fully, arrived in herself. And she is here… at the edge of the woods, under Grandmother Oak… waiting to meet you.

She is both
artist and art.

In her spaces, the work is about stretching, not breaking. Devotion, not discipline. Nurturing, not coddling. She reaches always for compassion and respect. She makes room for reflection and integration. She acknowledges that we are more than these bodies… and that we are each living a very different, very similar human experiment, with all the varying amounts of baggage that each lived experience can bring.

She teaches and inspires, agitates and elevates. She creates spaces, containers, and gifts. She slows things down so people can show up. She shines a light in the dark spaces… and shares that light with everyone in the room.

Diane is here to remind You how to live artfully & heartfully.

SOME OF HER FAVORITE THINGS

The moments that remind her why she does this work.

Witnessing the lightbulb moment ~ awareness, learning, clarity arriving all at once

Playing with color ~ always, in every medium, in every space

Helping folks be more flexible and feel better in the bodies they live in

The garden. The herbs. The slow, patient wisdom of things that grow

Hearing stories of healing & love ~ sharing laughs & learnings along the way

Creating joy ~ as an act, an art form, a daily practice, a gift

IN HER OWN WORDS

I create spaces, containers, and gifts. I teach and inspire, agitate and elevate. My life's work is about slowing down, showing up, expanding. It's about helping us reconnect with our bodies, our souls, our community. It's about shining a light in the dark spaces — and sharing that light with others.

It's about values and boundaries and energy. It's about learning how to manage my mind and listen to my body. It's about letting my heart lead and allowing us all to follow. It's about teaching you how to live artfully and heartfully.

I've been blessed with teachers, preachers, and counselors who've helped me unpack and unlearn so many things. I've made mistakes. Learned and grown. Continue to do so. That's called being human. My daily practices keep me digging in and shining light on myself. And helping you do the same.

I am ordained. I am licensed. I am trained. And underneath all of that… I am called. Something chose this work for me before I knew what to call it. I've spent a lifetime learning to be worthy of the choosing… not by becoming more, but by becoming more honestly myself.

WHERE TO FIND HER

At the edge of the woods,
under
Grandmother Oak.

When you come in from the garden, the mountain path, surfing the waves, or wherever you've been… you'll find her there. Meet at the threshold. Let's chat.

She is currently residing in Loveland, Ohio ~ where the gardens grow a little larger every year, and she has finally, fully, come home to herself

She practices on the homelands of the Hopewell, Adena, Myaamia (Miami), Shawandasse Tula (Shawnee), and Wazhazhe Maⁿzhaⁿ (Osage) peoples ~ and on the homelands of her own transplanted, mostly German, Christian, white Ancestors. She holds all of this with humility and grace.
